The Catholic branch church St. Josef in Fuchshofen , a local parish in the Ahrweiler district ( Rhineland-Palatinate ), was built between 1870 and 1874. The branch church belongs to the parish of St. Michael in Reifferscheid .

history

The church consecrated to St. Joseph was built after the place was raised to an independent community in 1862. A collection in the former district of Adenau and the willingness of the local residents to provide manual and clamping services made the construction possible.

architecture

The church has a length of 9.52, a width of 5.02 meters and a height of 5.41 meters. A pointed arch separates the choir from the prayer room. The wooden altar dates from 1874. The altarpiece has a tabernacle in the middle and is crowned by three statues of saints. It is in the middle Mary with child, on the right St. Josef and on the left St. Brigitta , the second patroness of the church. During the renovation in 1972, the roof was renewed with the attached roof turret , which has two bells cast in 1965. The sandstone celebration altar was also set up. The undersides of the pointed arch and the inside of the window are decorated with floral tendrils. The leaded glass windows are simple and without representations.
