The Roman Catholic private chapel St. Korbinian in Kleinweil , a part of Großweil in the Upper Bavarian district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen , belongs as part of the parish of St. Tertulin Schlehdorf in the Heimgarten-Schlehdorf-Ohlstadt-Großweil parish to the Werdenfels dean's office of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising . The church at Sindelsdorfer Straße 20 is a listed building .

history

Today's local chapel was built in 1767 in place of a dilapidated previous building. The furnishings date from 1769, when the chapel was consecrated. In 1940 several figures were stolen during a break-in. In 2009 an electric bell was installed.

The owners of the chapel are the 14 “Rechtler” - descendants of the 14 small hamlets who built the church. The “lawyers” have been taking care of the maintenance of the building since then.

Description and equipment

The high altar was made by the Kleinweiler Kistler Johann Georg Miller. The Schlehdorf Monastery donated the figures of St. Augustine and Korbinian .
