history

The church was first mentioned in a document in 1305. The Gothic choir , which was probably built in the second half of the 13th century, the triumphal arch , the tracery windows and the late Gothic crucifix have been preserved from the medieval church building with half-timbered upper storey .

In 1631 the church building was looted twice by troops led by Johann T'Serclaes von Tilly .

The present nave with galleries and organ was built in 1781, and a new organ followed in 1790. In 1934 the pulpit altar was removed and the choir opened.

In 1962, storms affected the church, so that the nave had to be rebuilt.
