history

The hall church located on the southern edge of the village in the center of the village was built in the 14th century. The origins of the church can also be traced back to the 14th century on the choir and the church tower . In 1517 the church was given its current late Gothic form.

Interior decoration

The old equipment was removed in 1895. The hall was painted brown. In 1970/72 a new altar was inaugurated after major renovations. The rare tulip shape of the richly decorated baroque organ is emphasized with carving. The baptismal frame is from the late Renaissance . The eastern windows of the hall are glazed with reverse glass painting from 1895.

The church originally had three bells. Only the 14th century bell remained. In 1972 the still existing bells from 1920 could be re-cast and installed. It was a gift from the municipality of Poitzdorf near Gera .

The organ has 15 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal . The organ builder is not known.
