history

The late Gothic choir presumably dates from the late 15th century . The nave could also come from this time, but has been rebuilt several times over the years. Leonhard Reiter extended the nave in 1853/1854. The church tower was built in 1681 and is attributed to Thomas Natter .

Building description

The church is a hall building with a flat ceiling in the nave. The choir, closed on three sides, is attached to the nave. There is a stab cap barrel in the choir . The church tower, which is square in the lower area, is located in the southern corner. An octagon is attached to the late medieval substructure . The church tower is closed with a pointed helmet from the 19th century. Originally the church tower had a curved hood. The west facade of the nave is neo-Romanesque. A cloverleaf arch frieze with lily-like consoles is located on the choir eaves.

Furnishing

Most of the furnishings date from 1949 to 1951. The group of figures depicting the donation of the coat by St. Martin was created by Joseph Beyrer in 1881. The classical font dates from the beginning of the 19th century. The Stations of the Cross in the church were originally in Mittelrieden and were created around 1780. The figures of the apostles from the middle of the 18th century are made in the manner of Ignaz Hillenbrand . The neo-Romanesque pulpit is from around 1860.
