Ignaz Hillenbrand
Ignaz Hillenbrand (* around 1690 in Mindelheim ; † April 8, 1772 in Türkheim ) was a sculptor and sculptor.
Hillenbrand, who was also called Hillebrand, made the sculptural work on the pulpit of the parish church of the Assumption in Oberostendorf in 1719 . In 1724/25 he created the ship's pulpit in the Irsee monastery church . From 1732 to 1737 he made the sculptural work on the altars and the pulpit of the parish church of St. Michael in Bertoldshofen near Marktoberdorf .
The art historian Georg Kaspar Nagler reports that he had made large and small works, including “cute works made from tap wood”. In 1760 he cut the circumcision of Christ and a holy family for the Magdalenenklause in the Nymphenburg palace gardens .
