The Evangelical Lutheran cemetery church St. Michael is in the western upper village of Nägelstedt , a district of Bad Langensalza in the Unstrut-Hainich district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish Großvargula in the parish of Mulhouse the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The late Romanesque St. Michael Church was destroyed in the Peasants' War. In the 16./17. It was rebuilt in the 19th century. Compared to the previous building, today's hall church has been changed; it was renovated in 1828 and 1960. The old windows in the nave , which is covered with a half-hip roof, were walled up, as was the ox-eye . The tower in the west was given a pyramid roof . Its sound arcades are designed as biforias . The interior is covered with a flat barrel vault. The tower is opened to the nave through a high pointed arched choir arch . The gallery in the north is staggered, the one in the west is high. The pulpit is from the 17th century. There are epitaphs for the victims of the plague of 1597 and 1693 , as well as tombstones with inscriptions from the 16th and 17th centuries. Century and memorial boxes from the 19th century.
