St. Michael (Rohrborn)
The Evangelical Church of St. Michael is in the Rohrborn district of the city of Sömmerda in the Sömmerda district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish Sömmerda in the parish of Eisleben-Sömmerda of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
history
The single-nave Romanesque village church has a massive Romanesque church tower with a half- hipped roof from the 13th century. The bronze bell dates from 1621.
The nave has existed since the 17th century. It was rebuilt. A decorative component of the church is the wooden altar with carved figures of Moses and Jesus. The chalice-shaped baptismal font is from 1600.
The organ , originally from the Laurentiuskirche in Maua near Jena, was built into the church in 1867. The work has 12 registers on a manual and pedal .
