Kenneth Lamont "Kent" Bazemore Jr. (born July 1, 1989 in Kelford , North Carolina ) is an American basketball player . He currently plays in the NBA for the Sacramento Kings .

Career

From 2008 to 2012, Bazemore studied at Old Dominion University and played for the university's basketball team. He was not selected in the 2012 NBA Draft . On July 26, 2012, he was committed to a minimum salary for two years by the Golden State Warriors . In the first year he mostly only came on short assignments. In the play-offs he came to the second round with the Warriors. He played nine of the twelve games in the play-offs, but only had a total playing time of 16 minutes.

In February 2014 he was transferred from the Warriors to the Los Angeles Lakers . In return, Guard Steve Blake moved to Oakland. There he averaged 13.1 points in the remaining 23 games. After the 2013/2014 season he was a free agent and moved to the Atlanta Hawks . Here he played in his first year as a bank player. In his second year, Bazemore managed to jump into the starting line-up and he put on 11.6 points and 5.1 rebounds on average for the Hawks in 75 games.

From summer 2019 to January 2020, Bazemore was part of the Portland Trail Blazers squad before joining the Sacramento Kings via Trade .
