Marvin Bagley III (born March 14, 1999 in Tempe , Arizona ) is an American basketball player .

career

Bagley played as a student at Corona del Sol High School in the US state of Arizona and then at Sierra Canyon School in California . In his senior season he scored an average of 24.9 points and 10.0 rebounds per encounter for Sierra Canyon.

Bagley played at Duke University in the 2017/18 season under coaching luminary Mike Krzyzewski and immediately made his mark on the team as a newcomer. In 33 appearances in the NCAA , Bagley scored an average of 21 points and collected 11.1 rebounds, both of which were team-internal highs. Following the game year, he was named Player of the Year by the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).

Shortly after the end of the 2017/18 season, Bagley announced his decision to leave university and make the move to professional life by enrolling in the NBA's draft . There he was selected second by the Sacramento Kings  . On February 4, Bagley reached his career best with 24 points against the San Antonio Spurs . Overall, he came to averages of 14.9 points and 7.6 rebounds in 62 missions during the 2018/19 game year.
