NGC 2755 is a spiral radio galaxy of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Lynx in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 237 million light years from the Milky Way and about 120,000 light years in diameter.
The Type II supernova SN 2012ai was observed here.
The object was discovered on March 18, 1787 by the astronomer William Herschel .
