NGC 2731 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Cancer on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 110 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 25,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on March 3, 1864 .
