NGC 2743 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type SD in the constellation Cancer on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 131 million light years from the Milky Way and about 40,000 light years across.
In the same area of ​​the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 2753 and NGC 2750 .

The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on February 22nd, 1787 .
