NGC 2743 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type SD in the constellation Cancer on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 131 million light years from the Milky Way and about 40,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 2753 and NGC 2750 .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on February 22nd, 1787 .
