history
The Romanesque defense tower and the apse indicate the 12th century and that the church was a fortified church to protect the population .
However, the furnishings go back more to the 18th century.
The pneumatic organ bought by a community in the Lobenstein area was installed in 1852. It is not playable because of defective valves.
One of the two bells in the church tower was melted down during the First World War , as was the one that was cast in its place in 1921 during the Second World War . Their inscription reads:
- Karl Friedrich Ullrich in Apolda only poured me out to serve and praise the Most High When the German people rose in 1848.
