St. Nikolaus in Not is a German-Italian puppet show from 1967 based on the short story of the same name by Felix Timmermans from 1924. The Augsburger Puppenkiste staged this play in cooperation with the Bozen broadcaster of the RAI . The puppet show was shot in black and white .

On the evening of St. Nicholas , Cäcilie sees a beautiful, large chocolate ship in the Trinchen Mutser shop. She dreams of the ship and wishes St. Nicholas would bring it to her. On the same evening when all the children are asleep, St. Nicholas comes with servant Rupprecht and the donkey. They all distribute their presents, but Saint Nicholas is horrified to discover in front of little Cäcilie's house that he has no present for her. Cäcilie overhears them and tries to help Saint Nicholas ...

- In 1966 the Augsburger Puppenkiste worked several times with the RAI . In November 1967 the Augsburger Puppenkiste came to Bozen to film this puppet show for the German-speaking regions in Italy. This game was never broadcast on German television. The first broadcast in Italy was December 6, 1967.
- Carlo Schellemann was responsible for the stage design, Renato Re for the lighting, and Gianfranco Desideri for the sound. Vittorio Brignole was the picture director.
