The St. Paul River is a river in the east of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The river rises on the eastern slopes of the Fingal Tier northwest of the Douglas-Apsley National Park , about 82 km east-southeast of Launceston . From there it flows first southwest to Mount Henry and then west to the small town of Avoca , where it flows into the South Esk River .
