St. Peter ( Italian San Pietro ) is a fraction of the municipality of Laion in the lower Val Gardena in South Tyrol ( Italy ).

The small center is located on a slope on the orographic right side of the valley at an altitude of 1200  m . A little further into the valley there is a second small settlement center, called St. Peter im Tal , at around 950  m on the Grödner Bach valley . St. Peter forms its own small village community, hikers and skiers use the village as a holiday home, as it is in the immediate vicinity of a skiing and hiking area in the Dolomites .
