The Sankt-Petrus-Kirche is the Protestant church in the village of Satuelle in Saxony-Anhalt , which belongs to the town of Haldensleben .

Architecture and history

The church probably goes back to Roman times. In 1557 the Reformation was introduced in Satuelle . In 1592, according to other information in 1596, the church hall was extended to the east. At the same time, high, rectangular windows with a sandstone frame were added. Further redesigns took place in 1670 and 1910, other information in 1933. To the west of the nave is a gable tower, the tower top of which was probably built in the 18th century.

From 1821 to 1828 the writer Heinrich Andreas Pröhle was pastor at the church.

Interior design

The interior of the church is spanned by a flat ceiling. The furnishings date from 1670. The altar wall with side passages is included in the gallery of the gallery and structured with pilasters . Outside area and rectory

There are other gravestones outside the church, including three inscription gravestones from the 18th and 19th centuries. The church is surrounded by a walled churchyard. To the west of the church is a war memorial dedicated in 1923 for the fallen of the First World War . It was later expanded to commemorate those who died in World War II and other injustices of the 20th century. To the east of the church is the rectory. Today's parsonage with stone window walls was built in 1904 on the site of a previous building erected in 1676.
