history

In 1706 the rectangular hall church was rebuilt with an easterly ridge turret. The church tower and roof have been renovated since 1990 . The interior of the ship was painted.

Nave

The single-storey built-in gallery is from the previous church. The gallery columns made of three-growth wood are unique in the new federal states. In 1894 the church received a used organ , which the organ builder Hugo Schramm from Bürgel installed. The prospectus and the jewelry pipes fell victim to the First World War .

Next to the brick altar is the Gothic carved altar from the previous church. When open, Mary and Child are flanked by the church's namesake. Biblical people are depicted in the outer wings.

Bells

The bells of yore were cast by Haxus Rosenberger in Schleiz in 1806 and 1517 . In World War II they were to be melted down. Since the ship transporter sank to the bell cemetery, they are back in place today.
