The KORITSCHAN locomotive was a triple- coupled tank locomotive of the priv. Austro-Hungarian State Railroad Company (StEG). It was procured for the operation of the Nemotitz – Koritschan local railway on their account.

history

The locomotive was delivered in 1907 by the Floridsdorf locomotive factory with the serial number 1770. In 1909 it was classified as the only locomotive in the 462 series by the kk Staatsbahnen (kkStB). It was now numbered 462.01 .

After the First World War it came to the Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD), which classified it as  302,001 . The locomotive remained on its regular route and was not taken out of service until after the Second World War. It was shut down in July 1950 and scrapped shortly afterwards.

technical features

The inner frame of the locomotive corresponded to the contemporary triple-coupled local railroad locomotives. The comparatively large heating surface and the no longer up-to-date eccentric control of the Allan-Trick type were unusual . The locomotive was intended for one-man operation. Instead of a whistle, there was a steam burner on the cab roof .

The steam dome with two spring balance safety valves was located on the first boiler section. Behind it was the sandpit. Only the second coupled axle was sent. The locomotive was equipped with an air brake to brake the locomotive and train .

The coal supply was probably carried in the driver's cab. There is no information about the design of the water tank. Presumably the water supply was under the boiler between the frame cheeks.

The spacious driver's cab had a door at the rear with a transition device.
