The StEG I 488-491 were tender locomotives of the State Railway Company (StEG), a private Austrian-Hungarian railway company .

The four machines were delivered by the StEG locomotive factory in 1858 and were among the first four-coupled locomotives of the StEG. In the first designation scheme of the StEG, they were given the numbers 488-491 and the names ACS , SZT. JANOS , LEITHA and PARNDORF . The first two differed from the last two in the type of boiler (see table).

In the designation scheme of 1873, the four machines were assigned the numbers 1108–1111 and the category IVi. Although they were assigned to the same category as StEG I 441–447 , they differed from these in almost all important technical dimensions. In 1891, on the occasion of the nationalization of the Hungarian lines of the StEG, all but one vehicle came to the MÁV , but they were eliminated without assigning them a series number. In 1897 the remaining locomotives of the StEG came under the name 4002 in the third designation scheme of the StEG. When the StEG was nationalized in 1909, it was no longer in the locomotive inventory.
