State degree
A state qualification is the legally binding label for a successfully completed study or training course under state supervision.
While universities (eg universities , colleges of education , polytechnics and art schools ) degrees awarded (university degree), content themselves more educational institutions in the so-called tertiary education , such as vocational colleges and technical schools , for the successful degrees with so-called "State designations".
The graduates of former engineering schools , which were dissolved in the 1960s / 70s in favor of the new technical colleges, were not awarded their degree as a degree, but as an academic designation, for example Ing. , Ing. (Grad.) , Betriebswirt (grad.) . State qualifications are awarded by advanced training schools / technical academies that train state-certified business economists , state-certified computer scientists , state-certified technicians , state-certified designers , etc. In addition, there are also vocational schools and vocational college courses at other vocational institutions that assign job titles with the addition “state-tested”. The state-recognized training occupations also belong to the state qualifications .
The state qualifications do not include all academic degrees and professional titles that are recognized after vocational training (regardless of the educational institution) and a certain professional experience and are provided with the addition “state recognized”.
The following qualifications are considered state qualifications:
- Job titles acquired through a state examination
- State degrees such as Diplom - ... (BA) or Bachelor at vocational academies (these are not academic degrees)
- Job titles that begin with the term Staatlichprüfte (r)…
- Job titles with the addition of state-checked
