The State University of Science and Technology Mikhail Fedorovich Reschetnjow Siberia or Reschetnjow University ( Russian Сибирский государственный университет науки и технологий имени академика Михаила Фёдоровича Решетнёва (СибГУ имени академика М. Ф. Решетнёва) Sibirski gossudarstwenny uniwersitet nauki i technological imeni akademika Michaila Fjodorowitscha Reschetnjowa (SibGU imeni akademika MF Reshetnjowa) , English Siberian State Aerospace University ) is a university in Krasnoyarsk , Russia . The university was founded in 1960 as a branch of the Siberian State Technological University .

history

In 1960 a "technical factory school" ( Russian завод-втуз sawod-wtus ) and an offshoot of the Krasnoyarsk Polytechnic Institute was founded. From 1989 this was called the "Institute for Space Technology Karsnojarsk" ( Russian Красноярский институт космической техники (КИКТ) Krasnoyarski institut kosmitscheskoi techniki (KIKT) ). In 1992 it was renamed "Siberia Space Academy " ( Russian Сибирская аэрокосмическая академия (САА) Sibirskaja aerokosmitscheskaja akademija (SAA) ). 2002 to set up given the status of a university and was called "State Space University Mikhail Fedorovich Reschetnjow Siberia" ( Russian Сибирский государственный аэрокосмический университет имени академика М. Ф. Решетнёва (СибГАУ) Sibirskij gossudarstwennyj aerokosmitscheskij uniwersitet imeni akademika MF Reschetnjowa (SibGAU) ) in honor of Academician Mikhail Fyodorowitsch Reshetnyov . With the merger with the State Technical University of Siberia, today's name was chosen on May 12, 2017.

Cooperation and developments

The university is licensed by the Federal Space Agency . She conducts fundamental research and works on her own research topics with local and foreign companies. The basic partners for university research are Krasmasch (main manufacturer of ballistic missiles for submarines ), Information Satellite Systems (main manufacturer and producer of communication satellites, telecasting, navigation and geodesy ) and KrasAir (one of the best airlines in Russia).

There are partner universities in Germany , the United States and the Czech Republic . These are Ulm University , State University of New York at Oneonta and Czech Technical University Prague . Nine universities in Russia together (with the University of Aerospace) have created the so-called "United Space University". This is the integration of the scientific and economic resources of the space universities, the basis for common development and educational improvement. The first engineering education center was established in Krasnoyarsk with the participation of the university .
