State Council of Cuba

The State Council of Cuba (Spanish Consejo de Estado de Cuba ) is a 31-member body of the Asamblea Nacional del Poder Popular , the Cuban parliament . He is authorized to exercise absolute legislative power between sessions of parliament as the core of his task. He should also convene Parliament for its regular sessions, which are to take place twice a year. The members of the State Council consist of the President, a Secretary, the 1st Vice-President and five Vice-Presidents, who are also members of the Council of Ministers .
