The Stade Municipal de la Ville de Differdange ( German Municipal Stadium of the City of Differdange ) is a football stadium in Differdange in the canton of Esch an der Alzette in southwest Luxembourg .
It is the home of the local soccer club FC Differdingen 03 and offers space for 3,500 spectators. For European Cup games, the capacity is limited to 1,940 places. Test matches for the Luxembourg national team are occasionally held here .
The club has been playing its home games in the BGL Ligue here since 2012 , as the old Stade du Thillenberg no longer met the latest standards. The Stade Municipal des CS Oberkorn stood on the area of the new stadium until 2010 and was then demolished.
In addition to a covered grandstand with 1,800 seats and an uncovered three-row grandstand on the back straight for around 800 spectators, the stadium has a clubhouse integrated into the main grandstand. To the left and right of the two grandstands are standing steps.
In addition to four floodlight masts , the stadium has an electronic scoreboard at the level of the center line. Behind the back straight there is an artificial turf field and a large parking garage in front of the stadium.
