history

The Stadio Omobono Tenni was inaugurated in 1933 under the name Stadio Comunale with the game FBC Treviso against Udinese Calcio . In the 1950s it offered space for 12,000 spectators. On October 5, 1963, the stadium was renamed Stadio Omobono Tenni in memory of the motorcycle racer Omobono Tenni who died in an accident in 1948 and who lived in Treviso for a long time . In 1997 FBC Treviso rose to Serie B , which is why the stadium was renovated. Since then, the Stadio Omobono Tenni has seated 9,435 spectators.

When FBC Treviso was promoted to Serie A in the 2005/06 season , the Omobono Tenni did not meet the minimum requirements of Serie A, which is why Treviso made some of its home games, e.g. B. against Inter Milan in the Stadio Euganeo of Padua . After fan protests against the move to the unloved Padua and some renovations, the stadium was played again at the Stadio Omobono Tenni, including against Juventus Turin (0: 1), where the number of spectators was increased to 9,996 through additional stands.
