The Stadio Euganeo is a football stadium in the Italian city of Padua in the Region Veneto . It is the home of the Calcio Padova football club . It was named after a nearby range of hills, the Eugenian Hills ( Italian : Colli Euganei ).
history
The foundation stone for the plant was laid on December 2, 1989 . Calcio Padova rose in 1994 to Serie A at the start of the Serie A season in 1994/95, the first game took place in the stadium. At this point in time, the tiers behind the goals had not yet been built; this was done from 1998 to 2000. For a long time, the stadium held around 34,000 spectators; today, due to safety requirements, the capacity is 18,060 (15,060 of which are covered).
The venue consists of the two covered longitudinal stands (east and west) and the uncovered back gate rows (north and south). The main stand in the west offers 7,407 seats (including 140 VIP seats, 660 business seats and 59 seats in the press stand). In the opposite stand in the east there are 7,653 seats. There are 1,500 seats each on the north and south stands. For the 100th birthday of Calcio Padova 2010, a club museum was opened in the stadium on January 29th.
The FBC Treviso had its first games of the Serie A season 2005/2006 unsubscribe in Padua, as the Stadio Omobono Tenni first be converted had.
