The Stadio Pietro Barbetti is a football stadium with an athletics facility in the Italian city of Gubbio in the province of Perugia , Umbria region . Until recently, the facility, which opened in 1977, was called Stadio Polisportivo San Biagio and is only briefly called San Biagio . AS Gubbio 1910 , who was promoted to Serie B in the 2011/12 season, welcomes his opponents here. The stadium will have 5,300 seats for the new season. In addition to the main stand, the opposite stand also has a roof. The pitch made of natural grass is surrounded by a six-lane running track. The back straight consists of three individual spectator tiers, some of which have seats and the other two are standing tiers.

In March 2011, Gubbio's Mayor Maria Cristina Ercoli and other city representatives met with the Vice President of AS, Giancarlo Brugnoni and General Director Giuseppe Pannacci to discuss the adaptation of the stadium to the requirements of the Italian second division. It was decided that the changing rooms will be renovated. For the guest fans, tubular steel grandstands with around 1,200 seats will be set up in the east curve. The entrances will be equipped with eight turnstile systems and each with cameras from a video surveillance system. In addition, the floodlight system will be upgraded so that series B evening games are also possible. Work began on May 11 after AS Gubbio 1910 had made it to Serie B three days earlier with a 3-1 home win against Paganese Calcio in 1926.

On September 15, 2010, the women's national soccer teams of Italy and France met in the stadium. In the play-off phase of qualification, it was a question of a starting place at the 2011 Women's World Cup . The Italians lost 2: 3 (1: 0) against the team from France. Shortly before the 1990 World Cup , the Brazilian national soccer team played a test match against AS Gubbio 1910 in the stadium on May 20. The game ended in an 8-1 victory for the South Americans.
