The Stadio Alberto Braglia is a football stadium in the Italian city of Modena , region Emilia-Romagna . It is the home of FC Modena football club and temporarily FC Carpi . The venue now has a capacity of 21,151 seats, 10,701 of which are covered.
history
The stadium was inaugurated on October 11, 1936 with the game FC Modena against US Cremonese (0-0). After the Second World War , the sports facility was named after the Italian gymnastics Olympic champion Alberto Braglia . From 2000 to 2007 the facility was renovated and expanded in four phases. It was u. a. removed the athletics facility.
In the 2008-09 season and the seasons 2011/12 and 2012/13 was the neighboring US Sassuolo from their home matches at the Stadio Alberto Braglia, since their own Stadio Enzo Ricci Sassuolo with 4,000 seats not meet the requirements of the Series B corresponded. Juventus played the UEFA Europa League third round qualifying match against Shamrock Rovers' Irish at the Stadio Alberto Braglia on August 5, 2010 .
