Stadion is an underground station of the Stockholm Metro , which is located south of the Stockholm Olympic Stadium , which is the name of the game . Furthermore, the Royal Stockholm Academy of Music is in the immediate vicinity. It is located in the Östermalm district . The station is served by the Röda linjen of the Stockholm metro system . Despite its central location, the station is one of the less frequented stations on the subway network. On a normal working day, 9,000 commuters get on and off here.
The station went into operation on September 30, 1973 when the northern section of the Röda linjen between Östermalmstorg and Tekniska Högskolan was inaugurated. The platforms are about 25 meters underground. The station is located between the stations Östermalmstorg and Tekniska Högskolan . It is around two kilometers to Stockholm Central Station .
