The stadium at the Kreuzeiche is a football stadium in Reutlingen . It is the home of SSV Reutlingen 05 , which currently plays in the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga .
history
The stadium at the Kreuzeiche was built in 1953. The grandstand was demolished after the game on March 9, 2002 against 1. FSV Mainz 05 to make room for a new building. On January 14, 2003 the new grandstand was inaugurated with a game against FC Bayern Munich . The financial burdens caused by the new building led to the license refusal in summer 2003 and the fall of Reutlingen into the top division. In February 2016 it was announced that the city of Reutlingen will be accommodating 60 refugees on an intermediate level of the stadium.
