Architecture and history

The building was built in 1903, according to other inaccurate information not until 1908. Before that, the garden island belonging to the mill between the cities was located at this point , which was surrounded by the mill ditch and the open ditch. The trench was filled in during the construction work. The eastern enclosure of the Stadtbad was built in the area of the former moat. During the construction of the pool, there were considerable difficulties with the building site.

In addition to a swimming pool, departments for tubs, showers and steam baths were also set up. The inauguration took place on October 1, 1903.

The building has a distinctive gable in framework construction , the traditional elements of the Quedlinburg timber-framed building quotes. The half-timbered construction was used at the request of the Quedlinburg building authority. Also noteworthy is the representatively designed portal with outside staircase .

The indoor pool has been operated by Stadtwerke Quedlinburg since 1996 and has a swimming pool with a size of 9 by 18 meters and a depth of 0.7 to 2.8 meters. The system has an ozone treatment system for cleaning the water.
