Line network
The Stadtbetriebe Steyr currently operates 10 lines. All lines together have a length of 87 km and lead to Steyr station. In 2016, line 11 to Garsten had to be closed. Since then, the regional buses from Stern & Hafferl have been running on route 443 from Dambach to Steyr at smaller intervals.

Articulated buses are used on Line 1, and also on Line 2a and 2b at peak times. Otherwise, twelve-meter-long solo buses run on lines 2a, 2b, 3, 3b, 5, 8 and 9 . Midibuses run on the remaining lines . The vehicle fleet consists exclusively of buses from MAN , which has a production facility in Steyr . The garage for the city buses is located at the headquarters of Stadtbetriebe Steyr (SBS) in Ennser Straße 10.

History of the city operations
The city enterprises Steyr GmbH (SBS) is the successor to the established in the 1960s Stadtwerke Steyr and activity areas such as gas , water , transport , funeral , Crematorium , municipal swimming pool , ice rink and Waste Management of the magistrate in charge. It was founded in December 2010 and operations began on January 1, 2012. The municipal operations are wholly owned by the City of Steyr.
