Tuttlinger Bäder GmbH
Tuttlingen Bäder GmbH was founded in 1998. The GmbH includes TuWass and the Tuttlingen swimming pool. Stadtwerke Tuttlingen GmbH and Tuttlinger Parkhaus GmbH are subsidiaries of Tuttlinger Bäder GmbH.
TuWass
Stadtwerke Tuttlingen has been operating the “TuWass” thermal and leisure pool since 2001, which has a supraregional attraction in the Black Forest-Baar-Heuberg region and in the Bodensee-Upper Swabia region .
TuWass has a wave ball, a flow channel, a family pool, a wide slide, children's paddling pool and the two 169 m long adventure slides “Black Hole” and “Blue Line”. There is also a sports pool with 6½ lanes and a start system with time measurement. Thermal pools (inside / outside), a bubble grotto with underwater massage, bubble beds and whirlpools are also installed. Separate from this is the sauna area with massage , aromatherapy and steam bath.
history
In 1997 a deep drilling started on the site of the former indoor swimming pool at “Place de Bex ” with the aim of extracting thermal water for the new swimming pool in Tuttlingen. Normally the temperature rises by approx. 3 Kelvin per 100 m towards the center of the earth , so that based on a temperature of 10 ° C at the earth's surface at a depth of 500 m, a rock temperature of approx. 25 ° C is expected. After a few difficulties, they found what they were looking for in autumn 1998: instead of the expected 25 ° C, the drills encountered thermal water with an unexpected temperature of 49 ° C in the shell limestone at a depth of 645 m . The subsequent continuous pumping test showed that the source can be operated continuously with a withdrawal of 3 l / s. However, the hot water does not rise to the surface of its own accord, but has to be pumped from a depth of 318 m underground.
The extracted thermal water is then treated in TuWass, cooled and then fed into the basin. The energy that is taken from the thermal water covers approx. 50% of the annual heat demand of the pool. This saves around 201,000 m³ of natural gas annually. The remaining energy is extracted from the "bathed" water via heat pumps and used to heat the shower water.
Medicinal water
A geothermal well on May 24, 2002 recognized Tuttlingen as a healing spring .
The values for the mineral thermal water (in mg / l):
- Fluorine 0.61
- Calcium 222
- Magnesium 48.7
- Sulfate 577
- Bicarbonate 211
According to the valid criteria it is nutritionally valuable for the supply of fluoride and calcium. Its mineralization largely corresponds to the St. Anna spring in Bad Windsheim and the Italian S.Pellegrino .
outdoor pool
The Tuttlingen outdoor swimming pool is located in the Koppenland district of Tuttlingen and was renovated and modernized in 2006 with an investment volume of 5.7 million euros.
Since then it has had a wide water slide, a flow channel, water fountains and a floor bubbler. For children there is a water playground, a sand-slush playground and a playground. There is also a volleyball court, a 50 m pool and a diving platform. The diving tower has a 5 m and 3 m platform as well as a 3 m and 1 m diving board.
The non-swimmer pool is combined with a 90 m large water slide.
