Stagefright is the second album by the new wave of British heavy metal band Witchfynde . It was released again in October 1980, about eight months after the debut album Give 'Em Hell , via Rondelet Records . The album was released again in 2005 by Cherry Red Records / Lemon Records .

While Give 'em Hell was a rough album for the time, Witchfynde had lost some of its heaviness on Stagefright , which can be heard in songs like Moon Magic or Doing the Right Thing , and with shorter pieces it is less progressive compared to its predecessor . Nonetheless, the album paved the way for Witchfynde to reach the masses and brought the band to headline tours.

Another change was that Pete Surgey took over bass instead of Andro Coulton. Coulton got out shortly before the release of Stagefright due to musical differences.

The single In the Stars / Wake Up Screaming was released from the album .
