Stalley , real name Kyle Myricks (born October 1982 in Massillon , Ohio ) is an American rapper .

biography

Myricks grew up in his hometown of Massillon and played basketball in high school there . Because of his skills, he was offered athletic scholarships from various colleges before injuries set him back. Still, he graduated from Long Island University in Brooklyn with a degree in English .

Under the name Stalley, he made his debut as a professional musician in 2008 on the mixtape Goin 'Ape by Terry Urban. Then he published in 2009 with MadStalley: The Autobiography another mixtape and 2010 had a guest appearance on the album Pilot Talk by Curren $ y . He was then signed by Rick Ross for his label Maybach Music. In February 2011, Stalley released another mixtape with Lincoln Way Nights , with which he was able to achieve his first successes: initially the work was offered for free download and accessed several hundred thousand times, after which it was remixed , paid for on iTunes and 4,000 times was sold.

On Maybach Music's compilation , Self-Made, Vol. 1 , published in May 2011, he was represented in exactly the same way as on the two successors and the two Rick Ross works Rich Forever and God Forgives, I Don't . Another mixtape from Stalley, Savage Journey to the American Dream , followed in 2012 , before releasing the digital-only EP Honest Cowboy in 2013 .

His debut album was finally released in October 2014, the week of his birthday, under the title Ohio . It placed 35th on the Billboard 200 and stayed in 186th place for another week.

In the following, Stalley devoted himself again to mixtapes. The Laughing Introvert was released in 2015 and Saving Yusuf in 2016 .

His second album, New Wave , was released in the summer of 2017 .
