Stanislaw Swatowski

Stanisław Swatowski (born March 25, 1934 in Michalów , Gmina Józefów nad Wisłą ; † February 18, 2008 in Warsaw ) was a Polish sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

At the European Athletics Championships in 1954, he was eliminated in Bern in the run-up to the 4 x 400 meter relay . In 1958 in Stockholm he was sixth over 400 m and in the 4 x 400 meter relay .

In 1960 he reached the quarter-finals over 400 m at the Olympic Games in Rome and the semi- finals in the 4 x 400 meter relay . At the EM in 1962 in Belgrade, he failed in the run-up to the 4 x 400 meter relay .

At the Olympic Games in 1964 he was sixth in the 4 x 400 meter relay and was eliminated over 400 m in the first round.

From 1955 to 1957 he was Polish champion three times in a row. He set his personal best of 46.7 s on September 5, 1964 in Łódź .
