Stanley Fink, Baron Fink

Stanley Fink, Baron Fink (born September 15, 1957 in Manchester ) is a British hedge fund manager. He is the former CEO and Vice President of Man Group .

Youth and education

Stanley Fink went to Manchester Grammar School and studied at Trinity Hall (Cambridge) .

Business career

Fink first worked at Citibank before moving to Man Group where he rose to CEO.

He has been referred to as the godfather of the UK hedge fund industry and under his leadership the company rose to be included in the FTSE 100 index and the largest hedge fund in the world.

He ranks 698 on the 2008 Sunday Times Rich List with personal net worth of £ 118 million

In September 2008 it was announced that Fink would become CEO of International Standard Asset Management (ISAM) in partnership with Lord Levy .

Lord Fink is a director of a number of companies in the financial markets and a. Beetle Capital Partners, Earth Capital Partners, Gencore Ltd, Global Free Holdings Ltd and Marex Group.

He is also the Director of Key-2 Luxury Ltd, an event management agency and a board member of the Zenith Hygiene Group.

Political career

In January 2009 he was named the Conservative Party's second treasurer .

In 2011 he was promoted to Life Peer as Baron Fink , of Northwood in the County of Middlesex . A seat in the House of Lords is associated with the title .

Lord and Lady Fink were guests of David Cameron on Checkers .

After Peter Cruddas resigned for involvement in the cash-for-access scandal, he became treasurer of the Conservative Party. Fink had donated £ 2.62m in the run-up to the party.

Other interests

In September 2009, he became a director of the hedge fund sponsored Absolute Return for Kids .

He is director of Burlington Danes Academy , director of the Oxford Center for Hebrew and Jewish Studies, and president of Evelina Children's Hospital .

Fink is married to Barbara.
