Stanley Avwarosuoghene Gbagbeke (born July 24, 1989 in Oginibo , Delta State , Nigeria ) is a Nigerian athlete who is mainly known as a long jumper . At a height of 1.90 m, his competition weight is 79 kg.

Life

Stanley Gbagbeke attended the Secondary School in Oviorie until 2003 and then the Umiaghwa Secondary School in Abraka . He then studied technical chemistry at Delta State University in Abraka. From there he moved to Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro (Tennessee) .

successes

In 2009 he won the Nigerian long jump championship with 7.92 m. At the same championships he was the second runner Nigerian champion in the 4 x 100 meter relay with a time of 39.23 s. At the 2010 African Championships in Nairobi , he reached a bronze medal with 8.03 m. A short time later at the Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi he was fourth with 7.98 m. He won the Nigerian long jump championship in 2012 with 8.20 m. At the 2012 African Championships in Porto-Novo , he finished fifth with a width of 7.65 m.

The 8.20 m, which he jumped on June 21, 2012 in Calabar at the Nigerian championships, is his personal best. In the hall, his best distance is 7.75 m on February 6, 2010 from Murfreesboro. In the sprint , he has best times of 10.56 s in the 100-meter run on June 25, 2010 in Calabar and 21.26 s in the 200-meter run on April 9, 2011 in Nashville. Indoor his best times are 6.35 s in the 55-meter run on February 27, 2010 in Murfreesboro, 6.81 s in the 60-meter run on February 7, 2009 in Lexington (Kentucky) and 21.83 s in 200 meter run on December 6, 2008 in Murfreesboro.
