The Starorobociański Wierch ( Czech / Slovak Klin ) is a mountain on the Polish-Slovak border in the Western Tatras with 2176 meters of altitude. The peak is the highest mountain in the Polish part of the Western Tatras.
Location and surroundings
The state border runs over the main ridge of the Tatra Mountains , on which the Starorobociański Wierch is located. To the north of the summit lies the Chochołowska valley , specifically its Dolina Starorobociańska hanging valley .
etymology
The Polish name Starorobociański Wierch can be translated as the summit of the old work . The name comes from the fact that tunnels for mining ore were found on his alpine pasture Hala Stara Robota as early as the 16th century.
