The Ornak Hut ( Polish Schronisko PTTK na Hali Ornak ) lies at an altitude of 1100 meters in Poland in the Western Tatras in the valley Kościeliska on the pasture Mała Polanka Ornaczańska that are part of the eponymous Hala Ornak is. With 49 beds, the hut is one of the smaller shelters in the Polish Tatras . The area belongs to the Kościelisko municipality .

history

The hut was built in 1948 in place of the Pyszna hut ( pl. Schroniska na Hali Pysznej ) destroyed in World War II . It was named after Walery Goetel . The hut has been in the Tatra National Park since 1954 . It is owned by the PTTK .
