Stechritt is an electronic body music band from Sandersleben . They include not only ADAC 8286 to the known groups of the so-called Anhalt EBM , a label Electric Tremor Dessau associated mixture of Oi! and EBM with borrowings from Electropunk .

history

Stechstufe was founded in 2011 by Peter Richter. In the same year, a demo CD with the title S was released at the so-called Sandersleben family reunion, an event organized by the Electric Tremor Dessau label. 

In December 2012 the band had their first appearance at "The Bastards Are Back" in the Beatclub Dessau. El Weisio from ADAC 8286 helped out on the drums for the concert and became a permanent member of the band. The following year, both founded the joint horror punk / electro punk band project White Trash Wankers .

The debut album at the front appeared 2013 Electric Tremor Dessau as a CD-R . The album contains eight songs, two of which are newly voiced punk songs ( Schleim-Keim , Der Fluch ) and a remix (by ADAC 8286 ).

The second album, Die neue Jugend , also published via Electric Tremor Dessau, was released in March 2014. Eleven songs are on the album, including three cover versions ( Elite ! , Schleim-Keim , Ton Steine ​​Schorben ), a reinterpretation ( Troops of Tomorrow by The Vibrators ) and a duet with Rummelsnuff . The release was mastered by Henrik "Nordvargr" Björkk .

In February 2016 Stechstufe started an EP series with Kulturgut Vol. 1 , which is entirely dedicated to the re-intonation of songs. The first EP includes Der Fluch, German American Friendship , Canal Terror , Rammstein and Schleim-Keim .

In 2014 work on a new album was announced.

January 2017 Kulturgut Vol. 2 was published. Songs from Pestpocken , Pouppée Fabrikk , Schleim-Keim , Gorilla Aktiv , Der Fluch and Toxoplasma were re-voiced . The EP includes a duet with Ben Bloodygrave .

On February 24, 2018, the international EBM-Day, the band released the single " Scheiss drauf / Krieg". War is an interpretation of the song War by Burzum . Schiss drauf (Contra & Negative) will be featured on the upcoming album.

style

Musically, the band is located in the field of Electronic Body Music and Electropunk and is based on classic EBM interpreters such as German American Friendship and Pouppée Fabrikk . Alternative influences like punk , Oi! and New German Hardness are strongly present in the music lyrically and instrumentally. With the release of the single Scheiss drauf / Krieg , influences from Black Metal , such as blastbeats and nagging vocals, can also be heard. In addition to the classic EBM and punk content, current topics are also addressed. The band positions itself in an anti-fascist way despite their provocative martial appearance .
