Steel Aggressor is an American metal band from Indianapolis , Indiana that was formed in 2010.

history

The band was formed in 2010 by guitarist and singer Rick Cope after his previous band, Phantom Witch, split up. A short time later, Damon Black, also an ex-member of Phantom Witch, joined the band as bassist. After that, Cope contacted drummer Bob Fouts, who also took part in two songs on Phantom Witch. Then began work on the debut album From Ruins to Dust in Cope's own studio called Basement Rage. The band then contacted the StormSpell Records label , on which Phantom Witch had already released a split release together with Taking Over. StormSpell Records signed Steel Aggressor at the end of 2010 and released the album in April 2011. The same label followed in 2013 with the second album Mourning Star… Total Ecplise .

style

According to thethrashmetalguide.com , From Ruins to Dust is clearly influenced by Angel Dust . In addition, the band is also comparable with German bands such as Atlain and Iron Angel . On Mourning Star… Total Ecplise , the band is less aggressive and fast than on the previous one and the songs are also less short. Occasionally progressive elements would also be processed.
