Stefán Máni
Stefán Máni Sigþórsson (born June 3, 1970 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic writer . Several of his 13 books were nominated for the Scandinavian Crime Prize. In 2007 and 2013 he won the Icelandic crime prize Blóðdropinn for Skipið ( The Ship ) and Húsið ( The House ). Skipið appeared in German, Danish, Italian and French translations. Svartur á leik was filmed in 2012 by Óskar Þór Axelsson , the German film title is Black's Game - Kaltes Land .
Life
Stefán Máni was born on June 3, 1970 in Reykjavík, but grew up in Ólafsvík and lived there until 1996. Instead of attending secondary school, as a young man he worked as an unskilled worker in many industries: u. a. as a fisherman , construction worker , gardener and as a nursing assistant in psychiatry . He has lived there as a writer since moving to Reykjavík in 1996.
