action
When Stebbi threatens to be charged with assault after a fight, his old childhood friend Tóti promises to find him a good lawyer. In return, Stebbi has to get drugs hidden there from an apartment that has been sealed by the police. After he succeeds, he is accepted by Tóti in his gangster organization and helps with drug trafficking.
One day the psychopathic Bruno, who had been abroad for some time, comes back to Iceland. He wants to set up a nationwide network to smuggle and sell drugs into the country and forces Stebbi and Tóti to work for him. Over time, Bruno takes over the entire drug trade and eliminates all competitors.
During a courier ride, Stebbi is approached by the police at a gas station, who tells him that they are on the trail of the drug ring and that they have evidence of Stebbi involvement in a bank robbery . Since the police are primarily interested in Bruno as the head of the gang, whom they also suspect of having murdered Robbi, who disappeared without a trace, they offer Stebbi mitigation if he betrays Bruno.
A few days later, at a party, Bruno asked Stebbi if he had a passport . The two drive to a hiding place, where Bruno gives Stebbi a bag full of money, which he is supposed to bring to Hamburg the next day . He also says that he no longer trusts Tóti because he suspects him to have embezzled cocaine , which Stebbi actually hid after talking to the police. He shows Stebbi a box in which he keeps Robbi's cut hand so that he knows how Bruno deals with traitors.
Back at the party, Stebbi tries to warn Tóti, but he fails. Stebbi has to leave the party again. When he returns, he sees the police storm the building. On the roof of the house he notices Tóti and Bruno arguing and fighting. Bruno hits Tóti with a pole so that he falls from the roof and dies. Stebbi then packs the cocaine with the money in the bag he sends his mother to keep for him, and leaves the country.
Five years later, Stebbi returns to Iceland to attend the funeral of his late mother. Then he drives to her house, where he finds the bag in his teenage room. He opens the cocaine packet with scissors and sniffs some of it. Suddenly Bruno stands in the room with a knife in his hand and threatens Stebbi to kill him as a traitor.
In the last scene, Stebbi puts Bruno's hand in the box at Robbi's hand.
