Stefanía Zoryez (born November 14, 1983 ) is a Uruguayan athlete .

Discus and hammer thrower Zoryez became 2001 Uruguayan champion in these two disciplines. Zoryez, who started for the FRN , set a Uruguayan junior record in hammer throw with 54.14 meters on March 2, 2002. On August 1, 2002, she is said to have won the silver medal in hammer throw at the South American Junior Championships in Belem, Brazil, behind Jennifer Dahlgren with a distance of 50.54 meters. However, the 2002 South American Games also took place in Brazil at the beginning of August 2002 , where she is also listed as a silver medalist with the same width. Zoryez was honored as hammer throwing champion in March 2003 by the Uruguayan Ministry of Sports at an event honoring all Uruguayan champions of 2002. After Zoryez, a member of the Federación de Río Negro , had already set a new Uruguayan hammer throw record in March 2004 both at the Torneo Ministerio de Deporte y Juventud (55.95 meters) and shortly afterwards at the Torneo Jorge Echezarreta Gilard (57.47 meters) on April 17, 2004 at an event in Montevideo, she also achieved a personal record distance of 37.28 meters with the discus. Also in 2004 she placed behind Jennifer Dahlgren and Adriana Benaventa at the U23 South American Championships in Barquisimeto with a throw over 58.22 meters on the bronze medal in hammer throw. In 2005 she won the Uruguayan Championship again. Overall, she was national hammer throwing champion for the sixth time at this point, which is why she was named Uruguay's best female athlete of 2005 in April 2006. In the same year she was also honored at the award ceremony of the Premios Juancho 2006 in Fray Bentos .

In Montevideo , Zoryez set on April 2, 2006, shortly after she had increased the Uruguayan record in Hamm Throw in her victory on the first stage of the Grand Prix Sudamericano in San Carlos to 61.45 meters, at the Torneo Darwin Pineyrúa, her personal best of 61.52 meters, which also marks the still valid Uruguayan record . In April 2006 she also made the leap into the world rankings of the IAAF, where she was only the second South American next to the Argentine Jennifer Dahlgren (best at that time 68.00 meters) to rank 59 in her discipline.

In that year she also took part in the Ibero-American Championships in Ponce , Puerto Rican, in the following month and was sixth in the hammer throw with a width of 59.53 meters. Also in 2006 she took 7th place (56.67 meters) in hammer throw at the 44th South American Championships in Tunja . Zoryez was also part of the Uruguayan squad at the 2007 Pan American Games .

Stefanía Zoryez is the sister of the 2010 soccer player Charles Zoryez , who played for Miramar Misiones .
