Stefan Borrmann

Stefan Borrmann (* 1974 in Mölln ) has been professor for social work research with an international perspective at the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Applied Sciences Landshut since 2009 . He has been the dean of the faculty since October 2013.

Professional background

After studying educational science , sociology , psychology and social pedagogy in Berlin - doctorate at the Technical University of Berlin - Stefan Borrmann was a visiting scholar at the School of Social Welfare at the University of California in Berkeley for a few months in 2004/2005 . He then undertook teaching activities on theories of social work and epistemological and scientific theories at the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), degree course in social work, and the Hamburger Fern-Hochschule (HFH). From 2005 to 2009 he was a scientific consultant in the management of the German Youth Institute (DJI). Borrmann has been a professor in the social work department at Landshut University since 2009. His focus areas are international social work, theories of social work as well as right-wing extremism, youth and youth work.
