Achental (Bavaria)

The Achental is an opening mountain valley in the Traunstein district ( Chiemgau , Upper Bavaria ), which leads from the Austrian border in the south to the Chiemsee lake in the north . The Großache flows through the valley, which is called Tiroler Achen after crossing the border in Schleching in Bavarian territory . It represents the extension of the Leukental , known in Austria , in which the Großache, which comes from the source of Pass Thurn, runs and flows into the Chiemsee in the Achendelta between Grabenstätt and Übersee.
