Stefan Fritz Heidenreich (born December 11, 1962 in Bremerhaven ) is a German business manager .

biography

Heidenreich studied business administration in Kiel . After completing his studies, he got his first job in 1987 at the US company Procter & Gamble , where he was responsible for the Pampers and Ariel brands. From 1992 he worked for the Reckitt Benckiser group in the area of ​​Eastern European markets. He then took over the marketing management of the pay TV Premiere , which was launched three years ago . There he installed a subscriber counter in the entrance area, which should show his goal of 1 million subscribers. He was then used by Bertelsmann to implement the competition against Kirch's DF1 in a new concept: Club RTL . In a dramatic competition against Kirch, Mark Wössner pulled the emergency brake and a week later, Heidenreich was on the board of directors or as chairman of the board of the Swiss company Hero in 1998 .

Heidenreich was the successor to Thomas-Bernd Quaas as CEO of the German consumer goods group Beiersdorf from 2012 to 2019 . His contract, which would have expired in 2015, was prematurely extended to 2019. In June 2018 it was announced that the contract would not be renewed again. His successor as CEO of Beiersdorf is Stefan De Loecker .

At the end of March 2019, the management consultancy HPK announced in a study on the top earners of the German Dax 30 companies for 2018 that Heidenreich received by far the highest earnings with total remuneration of 23.45 million euros. This includes a long-term bonus payment of 21 million euros, which he is entitled to for the past seven years. The basic salary for 2018 amounts to 1.25 million euros, the bonus to 1.19 million euros.

Sporty

Heidenreich is active in sports. He was runner-up European champion on the surfboard in the late 1970s and races off-road motorcycles. He was the owner of a Class 40 sailing yacht that took part in international regattas under the name Nivea . In 2018, he and his crew won the world championship in the new ClubSwan-50 standard class.
