Stefan Franke

Stefan Franke (born August 14, 1946 in Ursprung , Saxony ) is a German lawyer .

Life and work

After graduating from law school with the second state exam doctorate Franke 1978 Dr. iur . He took up his first job in the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice . Between 1982 and 1990 he worked as a public prosecutor and judge in various courts in Bavaria . In December 1993 Franke was appointed State Secretary to the Saxon Ministry of Justice . From August 2003 until he retired in August 2011, he was President of the Nuremberg Higher Regional Court .

In June 2008 he was appointed State Secretary to the Ministry of the Interior by the Prime Minister of Saxony, Tillich . For personal reasons, however, Franke withdrew his acceptance of the post a short time later, so that instead of him, Michael Wilhelm was appointed head of office in the Saxon State Ministry of the Interior on June 24th .
